Side A Track 2

As my plunge into blogging was inspired by a quote, so is today's post. As I was reading my MaryJanes Cluck (a special newsletter for members of MaryJane Butter's Farmgirl Sisterhood - I'm proud to call myself sister #1627) I came across this:

"Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." -A.A. Milne

So...I put that challenge out there to all of my friends and family. Will you make the pledge to do that? For me, for yourself? Sometimes we need other people to remind us what we're capable of, to uplift us, to help us believe in ourselves. But the true confidence always has to come from within ourselves.

Times are tough, but life is good. I promise to "always remember...", drop a comment on this blog that you promise, too.

Side A, Track 1

I'm not one to jump on the bandwagon the first time around the track. So after the "blog-wagon" came my way many times, I finally decided that I could no longer make excuses for why I didn't jump into my own blogging adventure.
I kept convincing myself that I didn't have time or it wasn't worth setting one up if I couldn't post on a regular basis. I came up with every excuse under the sun! But then as I listened to the radio in the truck today, I was inspired by a quote from a country artist. I'd rather not admit to that artist's identity, but....*cringe*.... it was Taylor Swift. (Well, that was a kind of ripping-off-the-bandaid, short-lived pain). Anywho...
The quote alluded to the fact that we connect to a well written song because it is like a soundtrack for our life. That got me thinking that it would be really cool to have someone compose a soundtrack for my life.
Then as a snapped back to reality, I came to the conclusion that if it is EVER to be written, it would have to be written by me.
So here I am, blogging my life's soundtrack!

I hope that this will give all my friends and family, as far and wide as they may be stretched, a little closer connection with (to quote another country artist/song) ....my crazy, tragic, sometimes almost magic, awful, beautiful life!
